The Midterm Review of the Sixth Asian and Pacific Population Conference (APPC) in November 2018 is part of the regional review and follow up supported by the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in partnership with UNFPA reviewing member States adoption of the Asian and Pacific Ministerial Declaration on Population and Development as the outcome of the Sixth APPC.
In support of this review, the National Population and Family Development Board (NPFDB) Malaysia and UNFPA have jointly produced this country report – a key document that takes stock of Malaysia’s progress since the adoption of the ICPD Programme of Action, preparing Malaysia, as a Member State in their participation in the Sixth APPC Midterm Review.
