General Criteria
The LPPKN Research Grant is designed to support high-impact and policy-relevant research in the areas of population, family development and reproductive health. The grant encourages research that generates new evidence, strengthens policy formulation and contributes to the development of practical programmes, modules, interventions or strategic recommendations for Malaysia.
Eligible research proposals should demonstrate clear relevance to LPPKNβs mandate, strong methodological design, measurable outputs and potential contribution to evidence-based decision-making. Priority will be given to studies that address current and emerging issues affecting population dynamics, family well-being, fertility, ageing, reproductive health, youth, marriage, parenting and social resilience. Researchers are encouraged to develop proposals that are not only academically sound, but also practical, actionable and aligned with national policy needs.
Online Submission Guide
The online submission system will be activated once applications for the next LPPKN Research Grant cycle are officially opened.
In the meantime, prospective applicants may prepare by reviewing the general criteria, identifying relevant research themes, developing a preliminary research proposal and ensuring that the proposed study demonstrates strong policy relevance, methodological clarity and practical value to population and family development in Malaysia.
